Bei den Schweller war Kreativität gefragt, viele Formen mussten nachgebaut werden, wo als Vorlage nur noch ein Häufchen Rost übrig war. Der vordere Bereich um die A-Säulen war so instabil, dass erst einmal grosszügig abgestützt werden musste.
With the rockers creativity was the key factor. A lot of shapes had to be build where the template was just a heap of rust. The front part around the A-posts was very unstable and the body had to be heavily braced.
Die Bodenbleche, hinteren Radläufe und Schweller sind eine echte Aufgabe. Ich weiß nicht was anstrengender ist, den alten Schrott, der durch zahlreiche halbherzige Reparaturen von Besitzern die sich überschätzten oder Firmen denen der Eimer Spachtelmasse am nächsten war, oder die kreative Seite neue Formen aus dem nichts zu bauen?
The floorboards, rear wheel wells and the rockers are a big big task. I do not know what is more challenging, the removal of the old junk which went through countless half-assed repairs of owners thinking they were up to the task or shops which only knew how to use buckets of bondo, or the creative side of building new structures from scrap??
